New Jersey has a $50,000/year cap. Must register on state health dept website with $100 fee for two-year permit. Food Protection Manager certification required. Copy of most recent water bill required. Taking orders over the internet/phone is allowed (an ancillary activity under N.J.A.C. 8:24-11.2), but the actual delivery must occur in person within New Jersey — shipping by mail/courier/common carrier is NOT allowed. Direct-to-consumer only, no wholesale. Program adopted 2021 — one of the last states.
